Perfectly positioned at the corner of North Sathorn Road and Rama IV, SO/ Bangkok sits right in front of Lumphini Park, offering a rare combination of city skyline and lush park views. Despite being in the heart of Bangkok, the setting feels calm and refreshing - a true urban oasis.

Getting there is seamless: the hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Lumphini MRT Station and a short ride from Sala Daeng BTS Station, connecting you easily to every part of the city. From Suvarnabhumi Airport or Don Mueang Airport, the journey takes about 30–45 minutes by Grab/Taxi depending on traffic.

We loved how convenient the location was - Silom Edge and Silom Complex are right nearby for quick shopping or dining, while Siam Paragon, MBK Center, Platinum Fashion Mall, and CentralWorld are just a short car ride away. The hotel is also in short walking distance from highly rated restaurants, bars, spa centres and convenience stores. Whether you want luxury retail, street markets, or tranquil morning walks in the park, everything is within easy reach.

Our Room: SO Club Room (Water Element)

We stayed in the SO Club Room (Water Element), and it was pure luxury from start to finish. Designed around the hotel’s “Five Elements” concept, the Water Element theme created a sense of calm and fluidity - deep tones, soft lighting, and a tranquil atmosphere that immediately felt soothing.

The room was spacious and beautifully styled, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lumphini Park and a giant bathtub perfectly positioned for soaking in the view. The design details struck the perfect balance between contemporary chic and understated elegance - a space where you could easily unwind after a day exploring the city.

Facilities

SO/ Bangkok is more than just a place to stay - it’s an experience. The hotel is renowned for its award-winning SO/ SPA,and our visit there was nothing short of incredible. The spa blends modern design with ancient Thai wellness traditions, offering an atmosphere that feels both indulgent and restorative. Our therapists were skilled, professional, and incredibly attentive - we left feeling completely renewed.

The infinity pool and nearby fitness centre is another highlight, offering panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline and Lumphini Park.

Next to it, the Water Club serves refreshing cocktails and light bites in a relaxed, sun-soaked setting - the perfect afternoon escape.

The Club Signature Lounge deserves its own mention. Perched high above the city, it’s an exclusive space for Club-level guests, serving afternoon treats and evening cocktails with sweeping skyline views. It was our go-to spot to unwind at sunset - elegant, relaxed, and undeniably Bangkok.

Dining

Food was another highlight of our stay.

We had lunch at Red Oven, the hotel’s vibrant all-day dining restaurant. The menu was filled with both Thai and international favourites - and we couldn’t resist ordering Som Tum Thai, Phad Si-Ew, Phad Kraprao, and Mango Sticky Rice. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented, with that signature Thai balance of sweet, spicy, and savoury.

On another evening, we enjoyed dinner at SOSHI, the hotel’s Japanese restaurant offering an all-you-can-eat Japanese dining experience. The quality was exceptional - from melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to expertly rolled sushi - all served in a modern, stylish setting that matched the rest of the hotel’s aesthetic.

Between the two restaurants, the Club Signature Lounge, and the Water Club, SO/ Bangkok offers a dining experience that feels both luxurious and approachable.

Staff & Service

Service at SO/ Bangkok is everything you’d expect from top-tier Thai hospitality - warm, professional, and effortlessly polished. Every interaction, from check-in to restaurant service, felt genuine and attentive. The staff were always smiling and eager to help, whether it was arranging transport, offering recommendations, or simply greeting us by name.

It’s this level of care that truly makes the stay memorable.
