Pipa Hotel Bangkok Review: A New Boutique Bangkok Hotel

Bangkok has a new kid on the block - and it’s not afraid to stand out. Pipa Hotel Bangkok opened its doors in 2025, and we were lucky enough to be among its very first guests. Think bold colours, maximalist interiors, and a youthful, vibrant energy that makes you feel instantly at home. This isn’t just a place to sleep - it’s a destination in itself.

Location

The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Sukhumvit 11 - one of Bangkok’s liveliest streets. This area is famous for its buzzing nightlife, with an eclectic mix of bars, clubs, and rooftop lounges that come alive after dark. But it’s not just about nightlife - Sukhumvit 11 is also home to a variety of restaurants, serving everything from authentic Thai street food to international fine dining. Whether you’re craving spicy pad kra pao, Italian pasta, or sushi, you’ll find it within walking distance.

Alongside the dining scene, the area offers plenty of massage parlours, beauty salons, and convenience stores, meaning you’re never more than a few steps away from anything you need.

Just a short 5-minute walk from the hotel is Nana BTS Station, giving you easy access to almost anywhere in Bangkok. Whether you want to shop in Siam, explore the temples of the Old City, or cruise along the Chao Phraya River, the BTS makes it all quick and convenient.

For shopping lovers, Terminal 21 - one of Bangkok’s most unique malls - is only a 10–12 minute walk away. Styled like an international airport, each floor represents a different city, from Tokyo to London, and offers a mix of global brands and local boutiques. Even if you’re not shopping, it’s worth a visit for the décor and its extensive (and affordable) food court. Guests at Pipa Hotel can even enjoy a complimentary shuttle service to Terminal 21.

Pipa Hotel also sits right next to its sister property, Aira Hotel Bangkok, another stylish option in the area that shares the same modern, youthful energy.

Our Room: Executive Room with Jacuzzi

We stayed in the Executive Room with Jacuzzi - and it was everything we could have wanted for a Bangkok city break. The room’s design mirrors the hotel’s signature bold aesthetic, with splashes of colour, funky patterns, and playful artwork that immediately brighten the space.

The king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, complete with plush pillows and crisp linens that made it tempting to stay in all morning. There was a cozy seating area perfect for enjoying a coffee or catching up on work, as well as a flat-screen TV for when we wanted to unwind indoors.

But the real highlight? The private Jacuzzi. After a long day exploring the city - walking through markets, hopping on and off the BTS, and indulging in street food - sinking into warm, bubbling water felt like pure bliss.

The bathroom was sleek and modern, featuring a rainfall shower, large mirrors, and premium toiletries. Storage space was plentiful, and we appreciated the small touches, like complimentary bottled water and good-quality bathrobes.

Facilities & Amenities

Pipa Hotel makes smart use of its space and offers thoughtful amenities for guests. Here were some of our highlights:

  • Rooftop Pool – The hotel’s rooftop pool is a standout, offering city views and a refreshing escape from Bangkok’s heat. It’s stylish, inviting, and perfect for a dip before heading out for the night.

  • Gym – The fitness centre was one of my absolute favourite features. Also located on the 5th floor, it’s decked out in vibrant orange and packed with a wide selection of high-quality equipment. It honestly felt like being in my gym back home, and I found myself using it multiple times during my stay.

  • Complimentary Shuttle – As mentioned, guests can take advantage of the free shuttle service to Terminal 21, which is especially handy on hot or rainy days.

Food & Dining

Breakfast was served on the 5th floor, and it was a delight. There was a wide selection to choose from – fluffy roti, fragrant Thai dishes like green curry, buttery pastries (yes, even pain au chocolat), and more. All of this was enjoyed with a lovely view of the pool.

The dining area itself followed the hotel’s theme - colourful, cheerful, and stylish, making breakfast feel like part of the experience rather than just a meal.

Service

If you’ve experienced Thai hospitality before, you know it’s second to none - and Pipa Hotel is no exception. The reception team was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful from check-in to check-out. Whether it was answering questions, offering local tips, or just greeting us with a smile, they made the stay feel extra special.

Final Verdict

Pipa Hotel Bangkok is a bold and exciting new addition to the city’s hotel scene. It’s colourful, energetic, and refreshingly different - the kind of place that’s already making waves, and it’s only just opened.

During our stay, staff mentioned they’re still putting the finishing touches on their front-facing bar and restaurant, which is said to feature Polynesian-inspired cuisine and live music - we can’t wait to see that come to life.

If you’re looking for a hotel that:

  • Puts you in the heart of Sukhumvit 11’s action

  • Offers modern comforts without breaking the bank

  • Gives you an Instagram-worthy backdrop at every turn

  • Has thoughtful extras like a rooftop pool and private Jacuzzi rooms
