Nysa Hotel Bangkok: Hotel Review
/Bangkok has no shortage of hotels, but every now and then you find one that gives you a little surprise.
Nysa Hotel Bangkok was one of those stays for us.
Tucked around Sukhumvit 11/13, the hotel feels like a calmer little pocket in one of Bangkok’s busiest areas. You’re close to the action, but once you’re inside, it has this more relaxed, leafy feeling that makes the stay feel much easier.
We stayed in a Premier Pool View room with daily breakfast, and while the room was really comfortable, the star of the show here was absolutely the pool.
With tropical greenery, a big open-air swimming area, and that huge elephant feature at the end, the pool gives the hotel so much personality. It’s playful, photogenic, and honestly a really fun place to spend a slow Bangkok afternoon.
Location & Getting There
Nysa Hotel Bangkok is located on Soi Sukhumvit 13, close to Sukhumvit 11, which is one of Bangkok’s livelier areas for restaurants, bars, cafes, and nightlife.
If you like staying somewhere central, this location works really well. You’re close to Nana and Asoke, with Terminal 21, the BTS, MRT, and plenty of dining options nearby.
Bangkok traffic can be a lot, so being around Sukhumvit makes things pretty convenient, especially if you’re planning to move around by train or want lots of food and drink options close by.
What I liked was that the hotel didn’t feel too chaotic once you were inside. Sukhumvit is busy, but Nysa has enough greenery and space to make it feel like you’ve stepped away from the noise for a bit.
Our Room: Premier Pool View
We stayed in a Premier Pool View room, which was a nice choice because it kept the pool as part of the experience even when we were back in the room.
The room had a warm, modern feel with timber tones, soft lighting, and a simple layout that made it easy to settle in. It wasn’t overly flashy, but it felt comfortable and well thought out.
One of the highlights was the large window and sitting area, which gave the room a bit more breathing space. I always appreciate having somewhere to sit that isn’t just the bed, especially when we’re trying to relax between shoots, meals, and wandering around the city.
The bathroom was also a lovely surprise, with a standalone bathtub and separate shower. After hot Bangkok days, having a proper bath to come back to felt like a small luxury.
The Premier Pool View rooms are set around the heart of the hotel and are around 33 square metres, with either king or twin bedding options. The room category also includes both a standalone bathtub and a separate shower, which definitely adds to the comfort.
Facilities
The pool is easily the main reason I’d remember this hotel.
Nysa’s swimming pool sits on the lobby floor and feels more like a hidden courtyard pool than a typical city hotel pool. There’s greenery, sun, cabanas, loungers, fountains, and that giant elephant feature that gives the whole space such a strong visual identity.
It’s not just a quick-dip pool either. The hotel has an 18-metre main pool and a kids’ pool, with shaded sun beds and food and drinks available from Leaf Bar & Eatery.
For us, this was the part of the hotel that made it feel special. You could be in the middle of Bangkok one minute, then five minutes later you’re by the water, surrounded by plants, pretending you’re not in one of Asia’s busiest cities. The pool is also really photogenic. The elephant feature, the tropical planting, the city buildings peeking through, and the relaxed layout all made it a great space to shoot content.
The hotel also has a gym, which is open 24 hours with room key access. It’s spacious enough for a proper workout, with cardio equipment, weights, and a bit more room than you’d usually expect from a city hotel gym.
I liked that the facilities felt useful rather than just “listed.” The pool was genuinely enjoyable, and the gym was good enough that we actually used it.
Dining
Breakfast was included during our stay, and it was served at the hotel’s restaurant.
The breakfast hours run from 6:30am to 10:30am, with a slightly later finish on some days, and the restaurant also opens for lunch from 11:30am to 3:00pm.
Breakfast had a relaxed hotel feel, with a mix of familiar options and local flavours. It was convenient, easy, and exactly what we needed before heading out into Bangkok.
I also liked that the hotel has Leaf Bar & Eatery connected to the pool area, so you don’t have to leave the pool if you want a drink or something light. That makes the pool area feel more complete, especially if you’re planning to spend a few hours there rather than just dropping by for photos.
There’s something nice about starting the day with breakfast, heading out to explore, then coming back for a swim and a drink by the pool. That rhythm worked really well here.
Staff & Service
Service at Nysa Hotel Bangkok was friendly and easygoing.
The team were welcoming, and the stay felt smooth from check-in through to breakfast and using the facilities.
It didn’t feel overly formal, which suited the hotel. The whole vibe was comfortable, warm, and fairly relaxed, more like a stylish city escape than a stiff luxury hotel.
Final Verdict
Nysa Hotel Bangkok is a great option if you want a central Bangkok hotel with a pool that actually feels like part of the stay.
The Premier Pool View room was comfortable, the breakfast was easy, and the Sukhumvit location made it practical for getting around the city.
If you’re looking for somewhere in Sukhumvit with a relaxed atmosphere, a good gym, comfortable rooms, and a pool area you’ll actually want to spend time in, Nysa Hotel Bangkok is definitely worth considering.
