Shilla Monogram Danang: Hotel Review
/Located along the coastline between Da Nang and Hoi An, Shilla Monogram Danang is a polished beachfront resort that combines Korean-inspired elegance, tropical resort living, and easy access to some of central Vietnam’s most popular destinations.
Set around sweeping pools, palm-lined gardens, ocean views, and direct beach access, the resort has a calm, refined atmosphere from the moment you arrive. It feels spacious and modern without losing that relaxed holiday feeling, making it a great base for travellers wanting both resort-style downtime and convenient access to Da Nang, Hoi An, and the surrounding coastline.
During our stay, we spent 3 nights in a Corner Suite Double Ocean View with Monogram Lounge access. It was a beautiful way to experience the property, especially with the spacious suite, sea-facing balcony, generous resort facilities, and the added ease of lounge access throughout the stay. The Corner Suite offers ocean views and a separate bedroom, bathroom, and living room layout.
Location & Getting There
Shilla Monogram Danang is located in the coastal area of Dien Ngoc, between Da Nang and Hoi An. This makes it especially convenient if you want a beach resort stay while still being within easy reach of both destinations. The hotel’s official address places it on Lac Long Quan in Dien Ngoc, now listed by Shilla as Da Nang City, Vietnam.
What makes the location work so well is the balance. You are close enough to explore Da Nang’s city attractions, cafés, beaches, and restaurants, while Hoi An is also within easy reach for an evening trip or day out. At the same time, the resort itself feels peaceful and self-contained, so you can easily spend full days by the pool, at the beach, in the lounge, or enjoying the dining options without needing to leave.
The departure experience also felt smooth and easy, with a comfortable transfer back to Da Nang Airport rounding out the stay nicely. You can book your airport transfer directly with the hotel here.
Our Room: Corner Suite Double Ocean View
During our stay, we checked into a Corner Suite Double Ocean View, and it was easily one of the highlights of the experience.
The suite felt spacious, warm, and very easy to settle into. With a separate bedroom and living area, it gave the stay more of a relaxed apartment-style feel rather than a standard hotel room. This made a big difference over 3 nights, especially when we wanted quiet moments between the pool, beach, meals, and spa.
One of the best parts of the room was the view. The balcony looked across the resort and towards the ocean, giving the suite that calm coastal feeling from morning to evening. It was the kind of room where you naturally want to slow down, sit outside, and enjoy the sea breeze.
The interiors were understated and elegant, with warm wood tones, soft neutrals, and a clean modern design. It felt refined without being overly formal, which suited the overall atmosphere of the resort really well.
Another major benefit was the Monogram Lounge access. It added an extra layer of comfort to the stay, giving us another peaceful space to enjoy refreshments, relax indoors, or simply take a break from the heat. The Monogram Lounge is located on the main building’s first floor and offers afternoon tea and evening drinks during set hours.
Facilities
Shilla Monogram Danang has the kind of facilities that make it very easy to enjoy a full resort stay.
The outdoor pool area is one of the standout features. Surrounded by palms, loungers, shaded seating, and views towards the sea, it has that classic luxury beach resort feeling. There are different pool areas across the property, including family-friendly areas and an adults-only pool, giving the resort a good balance for different types of travellers.
The beachside setting is another major highlight. From the resort, it is easy to move between the pool, gardens, restaurants, and beachfront, which gives the whole property a very relaxed rhythm. You can spend the morning by the ocean, come back for lunch, cool off in the pool, then head back to your room or lounge without the day feeling rushed.
The resort grounds were also lovely to walk through. Between the palm trees, manicured gardens, curved resort buildings, and ocean-facing spaces, there were plenty of quiet corners and photo-friendly spots throughout the property.
A special mention also has to go to Sulwhasoo Spa. We made time for a 90-minute aromatic body therapy, and it added a much more restorative element to the stay. The spa feels calm and polished, with treatments designed around relaxation, ritual, and a more elevated wellness experience. Sulwhasoo Spa is located on the main building’s first floor and operates daily.
Dining
Dining was a really enjoyable part of the stay, with a good mix of relaxed resort meals, lounge moments, and more casual poolside options.
Dining M
Dining M is the resort’s main all-day dining restaurant, serving breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. The space feels modern, warm, and open, with a polished resort atmosphere that works well for both breakfast and evening dining. The restaurant serves dishes prepared by chefs using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, with breakfast service listed from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.
Breakfast was an easy and enjoyable start to the day, especially before heading to the pool or beach. There was a good mix of local and international options, making it simple to keep things familiar or try something a little more regional.
Dinner also felt relaxed and generous, with the buffet-style setup, warm lighting, and live music giving the restaurant a more atmospheric evening feel. It was the kind of dining experience that made staying in feel just as appealing as heading out.
Bistro M
Bistro M is the resort’s casual dining venue, with views towards Non Nuoc Beach and a menu designed around lighter dishes, cocktails, and relaxed meals.
This was a great option for a slower resort lunch or casual bite between pool and beach time. The setting feels bright and easygoing, and the food suited the overall coastal mood of the stay. It is the kind of place that works well when you want something more relaxed without making the meal feel too formal.
Bar M and Pool Bar
Bar M and the Pool Bar add to the resort’s easy holiday rhythm. Bar M is located on the main building’s first floor and offers panoramic views of the pools and ocean, while the Pool Bar sits closer to the water with views of the infinity pool and sea.
These spaces make the resort feel very complete. Whether it was a drink, a casual snack, or simply somewhere to pause between swimming and dinner, the dining and bar options made it easy to stay within the property and still feel like there was variety.
Staff & Service
The service throughout our stay was warm, polished, and very professional.
From arrival to dining, lounge access, spa, and general interactions around the resort, the team helped the stay feel smooth and well organised. At a large resort, the little service details can make a big difference, and Shilla Monogram did a good job of making the experience feel calm rather than busy.
What stood out most was how seamless everything felt. The room, lounge, meals, spa, pool time, and airport departure all connected together easily, which made the stay feel very comfortable from start to finish.
Final Verdict
Our stay at Shilla Monogram Danang was a polished and relaxing beachfront escape, with the right mix of ocean views, spacious rooms, resort facilities, dining, wellness, and easy access to both Da Nang and Hoi An.
The Corner Suite Double Ocean View gave us a beautiful base for the stay, especially with the balcony, separate living space, and Monogram Lounge access. The pool and beach areas made it easy to slow down, while Dining M, Bistro M, Bar M, and the Pool Bar gave the resort enough variety to enjoy meals and drinks without needing to leave.
