Some places aren’t just a destination - they’re an experience. Staying at Jellyfish Villas in Uluwatu felt like stepping into our own private love story. Intimate, luxurious, and deeply relaxing, this boutique hideaway is designed for those who want privacy, relaxation, romance but also the energy of Bali just beyond their doorstep. From private plunge pool dips to sunset strolls at Bingin Beach, we stayed here to share the experience with you.

Location

Located in the Bingin area of Uluwatu, Jellyfish Villas is perfectly positioned for both seclusion and convenience. The property is just a short walk from Bingin Beach, one of Bali’s most iconic spots for world-class surf and unforgettable sunsets. Beyond the beach, you’ll find chic boutiques, cozy cafés, yoga studios, spas, and gyms - everything you’d expect from Uluwatu’s stylish coastal scene.

Yet, once you step back into the villas, the bustle fades away. Surrounded by tropical greenery and soft ocean breezes, it feels like a sanctuary where time slows down and the outside world melts away.

Our Room: One Bedroom Private Plunge Pool Villa

Our home for the stay was the One Bedroom Private Plunge Pool Villa - and it was every bit as dreamy as it sounds. Think crisp white linens on a king-sized bed, a light-filled open-plan design, and a seamless flow from indoors to outdoors. The bathroom was a showstopper too, with an elegant blend of materials and natural textures.

But the real star was the private plunge pool. Hidden away in lush greenery, it became our favourite spot to spend the day - whether floating under the Bali sun, sipping cocktails at dusk, or stargazing in the stillness of the night. It was intimate, romantic, and endlessly relaxing. We had breakfast poolside, and it remains our favourite memory of the stay.

Facilities

Jellyfish Villas keeps things curated and calm, with facilities designed to complement the villa experience rather than overwhelm it. The main pool area is perfect for a social swim or an afternoon cocktail, while gardens and lounging spaces give you plenty of room to unwind.

Wellness is also woven in - with yoga, spa treatments, and massages easily arranged through their attentive team. And if you’d rather keep things ultra-private, in-villa dining and even a personal BBQ can be set up right at your doorstep.

Dining & Food: Banana Lounge

Dining at Banana Lounge, located just nearby, was one of the highlights of our stay. It’s one of Uluwatu’s trendiest venues, and it’s easy to see why. By day, the vibe is laid-back and tropical - think fresh juices, colourful breakfasts, and light lunches by the pool. As the sun dips, the atmosphere shifts into something more romantic, with glowing lanterns, chilled music, and dishes that celebrate both local ingredients and global flavours.

From grilled seafood and vibrant salads to hearty mains and indulgent desserts, every meal here felt like an occasion. And the best part? You never have to stray far from your villa to enjoy it.

Come by Happy Hour between 4-6pm to enjoy sunset cocktails poolside – that was also a really memorable experience for us.

Staff

Balinese hospitality has a reputation for being warm, genuine, and heartfelt - and the team at Jellyfish Villas were no exception. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with kindness and care. The staff knew when to offer assistance and when to give us privacy, striking that perfect balance.
