Hotel Review: nhow London

A review of our stay at the nhow London.

The nhow London is one of London’s hottest and trendiest hotels. Located in the happening Islington area, the nhow matches its surrounding vibe by presenting a fresh, youthful and vibrant energy to guests.

As part of the vivacious nhow family of hotels, the expectations are naturally high. But beyond just Instagram-worthy interior design, what is a stay at the nhow London really like? Here’s our review of the hotel.

Getting to nhow London

As you probably know, the ‘tube’ – otherwise known as the London Underground system, is one of the world’s public transport networks, and thankfully, it won’t let you down here. Getting to nhow London is extremely easy. Within a brisk 10-minute walk from the hotel, there are two underground stations that you can alight at – Angel and Old Street Station.

These stations offer will allow you to connect from major airports such as Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted as well as Victoria Coach Station.

If it’s raining when you exit the station (which, it very well might be – it is London after all!), you might be better off calling an Uber from the station. Since it is such a short drive from both Angel and Old Street Station, the cost of the Uber shouldn’t exceed 5-7 British Pounds. Uber works really well in London and is almost always readily available.

My room at nhow London

All smiles after seeing my vibrant room at the nhow London!

As I stepped into my room at the nhow London, I was immediately greeted by a wonderful explosion of colours. I haven’t stayed at the hotel like this before, so it took some adjusting getting used to the interior design – but once I took a look around, I quickly fell in love.

From the innovative artwork on the wall, to the bright yellow curtains – a stay at the nhow London is for those who dare to be bold. Apart from the design aesthetic, I also found the room to be really spacious and comfortable.

London hotel rooms are infamous for being tiny, and this wasn’t the case at all at the nhow London. There was plenty of space for me to set my luggage down and still comfortably walk around the room.

London calling! Are you picking up?

Cheers! What’s not to love about this fun room?

Much like the design of the bedroom, the bathroom was also chic, forward-thinking and stylish. Overall, the innovative design of my room was super impressive.

Food and Beverage at the nhow London

Breakfast buffet at nhow London

For a hotel so seemingly focused on design and colour, I wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to food at the nhow London. Fortunately, I was blown away with how good the food was here!

#foodporn is totally on point, as the food really was food porn.

First, I’ll run you through the breakfast buffet. The selection of food here is truly huge and is spread out all over the Instagram-worthy lobby and dining area. What’s better than enjoying a delicious English breakfast when in London, right? And the nHow London does a great one for breakfast.

So yummy!

I also had the opportunity to dine at Guilty by Olivier, a restaurant located within the hotel serving quality fusion-Italian favourites. I want to first note how eye-catching the layout of the restaurant is – it really is a visual feast for the eyes. When it comes to the food, it truly was top-of-the-range stuff. I had a delicious angus burger that I was still thinking about the next morning!

Facilities, Hotel Grounds & Other Activities

Asher enjoying the colourful lobby at nhow London.

The first thing you’ll notice when walking into the nhow London is of course, the colourful lobby. The lobby is divided into many smaller areas, each with a different slightly theme. I am not kidding when I say that you could spent hours just taking photographs in the lobby, as it has been so immaculately designed. You wouldn’t think this much colour clashing would work, but somehow it just does.

Other areas of the lobby were also vibrantly decorated.

Museum or hotel lobby?

I also enjoyed the hotel’s fitness centre, which was so much fun to gym in! The design was more like a bright spin studio than a traditional gym, and that made it so much more enticing to use and work out in.

Staff

The staff at nhow London were excellent.

The staff at nhow London were all helpful and friendly. I was granted an early check-in, and that was greatly appreciated after a long flight. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask the front desk as they have all the answers when it comes to places to visit, directions to the tube stations and surrounding dining options.
